1 -By a woman, for women
Most books on this topic are by men, which is not a problem, but they don't have a woman's perspective and let's face it, head coverings for women is a topic that affects women way more than it affects men. Men taking their hats off in worship is still a thing.
2 - No weird stuff
the books that are
written by women and aimed at women all have some weird stuff in them. Some day I may find one that doesn't have weird stuff, or I may be the one to write it.
3 - Topics that were missed
There are three "BIG HEADINGS" that became important to me, I have found no (as in zero) books that cover all three to my satisfaction.
4 - My own personal journey
because the book I'm working on is an outpouring of my own study notes, I've included application questions at the end of each chapter for reflection and I haven't seen that in any book.
5 - So many questions!
As this movement grows, many women are new to
this and have questions; one of the largest concerns is "how do I
respond when people ask me questions?" I address the questions I've seen.
I really appreciate your book and your approach to the subject of head covering! You explain the foundations of the issues so simply and clearly. You have come to your conclusions but do not force those upon others, but rather challenge them to get their direction and understanding from God in the scriptures and also history. In this issue (as well as others), each one of us must respond in our own personal faith from our own understanding! Thank you so much, and I pray that many dear sisters around the world will be encouraged in their own place of obedience!
